Terror Visions - World of Shit extended LP.

Back in 2007 FDH record released the Terror Visions full length record "World of Shit". This project was a side project of Jay Reatard's that recorded tracks over a 4 year span near the end of the Lost Sounds and the start of his solo career. This was Jays studio harsh electropunk project. The original release of world of Shit was a picture disk LP with 12 tracks limited to 1000 copies and a CD with 2 extra tracks (14 songs total). For this reissue we are including the entire world of shit recording plus 2 previously unreleased tracks, 1 original and a cover of "Brian Eno - Babys on Fire". So this album will now be a 100% band discography. The album will be pressed only on vinyl (180 gram vinyl) and will feature a gatefold LP cover with new art. We are expecting to have this re-released in the November as long as everything goes according to plan. I normally dont do preorders however I will be doing one with this. We will be having a drawing and giving away a few copies of the test pressing to folks that do preorder the record. Stay tuned for more info soon.

Spring Update (part 2)

So last week when I made the update to the page I forogt to mention one of the upcoming releases. A new 7" for The Poppets! They are working on the recording now. That Poppets 7" and the Maybe Baby 7" are the next 2 things coming out. Im expecting to get them both into the pressing plant in May. We are shooting to have them both out for both bands tours this August.

After a few mopnths of taking it easy its time to get things moving again. Here are some Updates.

Outer Minds - We are still on track to release this bands first full length sometime this year. This is a follow up to their 7"s on Hozac and Goodbye Boozy. I actually highly recommend checking out the Goodbye Boozy single. The band asked me to do that one originally and I told them forget the single lets do a LP. The band is working on recording the full length between touring in both this band and other bands.

Crusaders of Love - After seeing this band last year and hearing the LP on Douchemaster I knew I wanted to work with them. The have recorded some songs and will be doing some sort of record with me this year. We have talked about it possibly being a 7" of their own or a split 7". Im not willing to say what band the split may be with but I will say that their are shared members between Crusaders and this other amazing band.

Cum Stain - Heard this bands 7" on Florida's Dying and loved it right out of the gate. After then hearing the tape on Burger I knew I wanted them to do a FDH record. So a 7" is in the works.

White Wires - After flipping my shit over their new LP I asked a freind for their contact info. Turns out one of the band members has been a loyal FDH fan for years. Its for sure a while down the road as the band has other commitments but a 7" is planned for somewhere down the road.

We Aren't Friendly - Sadly this is not happening anymore.

Maybe Baby - So for years I have not been accepting demos. The other day I got one from this band and figured why not give it a listen. Within hours it was decided that this was gonna be on FDH. 2 new songs to follow up the 7" on Windian. These 2 tracks were recorded and mixed by Matthew Melton (Bare Wires / Snake Flower 2).

Demos - So after what has happened with Maybe Baby I have decided to take demos again. I dont take electronic demos so dont bother sending MP3'S or zip files. I had 1 harddrive fried from a demo that had a virus. If you would like to send a demo please see the contact info on the page.

The beats drill into your body, reaching speeds that should be too fast to dance to but aren't. None of this makes you feel any better about freezing to death in your spacesuit, but you've lived for so long you can't care anymore. Like a less self conscious THE SCREAMERS, unconcerned with trying to sound punk and artsy, but they manage to do it effortlessly. Sometimes it becomes so catchy but alienated it could have come from some sewer dwelling mole-man mid 90s boy-band. As the sun mercifully sets upon the leaky bucket and ransom note tapestries of so much received punk rock wisdom– nothing good after ‘Nuggets’ and before ‘The Ramones,’ Status Quo looking better in lace than in denim, Rip Off Records being anything other than embarrassing – there now un-sprawls a veritable Fulda Gap of credibility wherein nothing is true and everything is remitted. A surfeit of space – a kind of scrub lebensraum interzone – wide open and just-fertile-enough to support the casting of whole new herds of sacred ceremonial cattle, fed/weaned upon the kind of wild assertions and mild-boogie-sauce-sounds previously confined strictly to the ghettoes and tree-houses of fetishistic, male-dominated DJ nights. Now it’s fetishistic niche rock ‘n’ roll; if not a new golden age for rock, at least a fresh cast of clichés!

Ramma Lamma! It’s obvious in every way; in its trappings, deliveries, references and band name. Subtle as a flying mallet, which, if you’re still taking your drinks mixed, indicates to me that you should probably stick to sipping daiquiris with your girlfriends and let this double-shot of sound alone. You may recognize the faces (Ex - Plexi 3 / Kill-A-Watts) and you may even recognize the names, but in the true spirit of budget Paul Gadd-style reinvention you’ll doubtful recognize the dance moves. Boogie! ‘Big Street Time’ (sung by Rye Anne) sounds like Mud’s ‘Dynamite’ arm-wrestling ‘Supersonic’ by Andy Bown in the zebra crossing to Hustler’s ‘High Street’ in the best hyperbolic sense of the compare (the lyrics are about partying). ‘True Life Stories’ (dulcetly delivered by Wynn Dee) brings to mind a lost track from ‘Submarine Tracks & Fools Gold’ with the guitar line sounding utterly Chiswick-ic (and the lyrics personally resonating with this failed soft-drugs user; they’re about partying too).

Whilst so many of their contemporaries continue to dig themselves ever deeper into a one-dimensional Sha Na Na pit of pizza, Whoa-Ohs and Bay Area pop-punk gold lame, Ramma Lamma choogle on down the line with the sweat of Frut, Flash Cadillac and the Flamin’ Groovies. If these guys were younger than me, I’d probably hate them. Recommended to fans of rock, ‘n’, roll and alcoholism.

Winter Update part 2 (changes)

So a few things have changed.

City Sweethearts - This single will NOT be coming out on FDH. Its a shame cause the songs ruled however it just is not gonna happen (at least anytime in the near future)

We Aren't Friendly - Back a few years ago Shawn Foree (the mastermind behind Digital Leather) put together a live lineup in Phoenix AZ. This lineup ended up recording a bunch of stuff some DL songs some, some Cutters songs some demos. This stuff recorded live was labeled "WE AREN'T FRIENDLY" as it was a much rawer and live sound then the DL records from years past. These recordings never got a offical release and were somewhat forgotten till now. Later this Year FDH and Tic Tac Totally will be teaming up (after years about talking about doing a c0-release) and putting out a 7" of this stuff.More info on that down the road.

Everything else from winter update 1 still stands. I should have the Terminal Girls, Ramma Lamma, and Tokyo Electron stuff available in a week or so.

Winter 2011 update

Well here we are another year and still plugging along. 2010 was a good year for us. We got to release 9 records and plan on 2011 getting that number up to 12 records. We have alot of goodies coming soon here is what you can expect.

Terminal Girls
- We are so happy to be releasing this bands first offical release. Its a 12 song LP called "weird lights". Its for sure gonna fit right into the synth side of FDH. The album is due out by mid Jan and will be limited to 300 copies (with MP3 download included)

Ramma Lamma- A new band from Ryan and Wendy from Plexi 3. We will be doing a 2 song sigle limited to 500 copies. This is 1/2 of the bands first singles (the other out on Certifed PR. Their will also be a very limited version of both 7"s packaged together (limited to 75 copies). This record will also come with a free mp3 download code and is due out around Mid Jan

Tokyo Electron - AZ 238- About a year ago We co-released this record with Certifed PR. The first pressing of 500 sold quick so we are gonna get 200 more of these out their. This is likely the last pressing so dont sleep on it as each label will only have about 80 copies. This is due out in mid Jan also.

City Sweethearts - After a LP on P.Trash this Toronto based powerpop band is back with 3 new tracks. This time mixed&mastered by Young Guv to add a nice dirty vibe to the recording. This single blows the first LP out of the water and is due out in early spring (co-released with Resurrection records)

Outer Minds- These guys put out a great 7" on Hozac in 2010. They will be following that up with a LP this year. If you have not heard them check out the first single for a great 60's pop/psych vibe that the LP is sure to grow on. This one is due out in the spring and is go be co-released with Resurrection records

Misc FDH stuff - This year we are gonna try and make some changes to how we operate. Im still more or less a one man operation however I think I have found someone to help me with doing some web design. Im hoping to get the webpage to become alot more user freindly. Also from this point on we are planing on having FREE DOWNLOAD CODES WITH ALL NEW RELEASES! The fact is I would rather have people get the free download code and share that then a shitty vinyl rip. We also will begin to offer all new releases (and eventually back catalog) as MP3 sales. Im planing on doing it cheap also. The game plan is to ghave the tracks available for 1$ each and offer album downloads for 5$ and 7" downloads for 2$. More info on that coming soon.

FALL 2010 update

Been a while since the last update. Heres what we got going on.

Truthdealer - The new Truthdealer LP "The Contrarain" is due out within the next few weeks. This one is for sure a step more into the hardcore world then FDH has gone before. This one is gonna be limited to 500 and was split by a slew of record labels. Besides myself the following labels were also invoved - P.Trash, Resurrection, Huxtable, Suicide Bong, and Falcon Crest.

Ramma Lamma - The debut 7" from Ramma Lamma is coming right around the end of the year. Ramma Lamma is a new project from Wendy and Ryan from Plexi 3. The first single will be limited to 500 is sure to leave you wanting more. You can check out the bands myspace to get a taste of their vibe. Terminal Girls - This Detroit based synthpop / punk band just finished recording their first studio record. After getting my hands on their first 2 cdrs I knew I wanted to work with them. Then after having the chance to see them live this summer I offered to do a single for them. Well they recorded some songs and sent them over and I was blown away. So I said scratch the 7" lets do a LP. "Weird Lights" is the 12 track LP they recorded. This one will be limited to 300 on the first press and will be out around the new year. Derek Lyn Plastic - The new single from Derek Lynn Plastic came out about a month ago. It was a co-release with Certified PR. Limited to 300 copies. I think Certifed PR might be out of them and Im down to about a dozen or so left. So grab one before they are gone.

Destruction Unit - The newest installment from Destruction Unit "Eclipse" came out about a month ago on vinyl. This LP is a co-release with Perfectly Round records. For this new record Ryan R got a new lineup for the band and moved into a much more Krautrock direction . With this rebirth of the band you get a totally different sound. Regardless of the fact that I helped release this it easily is one of my favorite records of the year.

Other stuff - We still have copies of the 3 releases from this sunner available. The Mickey 12" EP with limited diecut covers, Strange Attractor's 7" this is the bands first North American release, and the first full length from Phillies own Women as well as many items for the past few years are still available at www.fdhmusic.com as well as distros and stores worldwide. I also just found out this week that Red Devil records still has copies of the long out of print Terror Visions record (its listed under "Jay Reatard - world of shit LP " in their Ccatalog)

Distro-Im closing down the distro to make more room for FDH stuff and to focus more on the label itself. I started clearing everything out a month or so ago. Still got a good amount of great stuff left. Most LP's are 5$ and all 7"s are 1$ in the distro so grab some stuff while I still got it around.

NOW HIRING - So Im looking to add a few people to the FDH family (currently just me). Im looking to find 2 folks. One that can do web design for the label. The webpage needs a major rebuild and I just dont have the skill to do it myself. Im also looking for a person to write press releases for the label. Destruction Unit - Ryan R. is back with a new lineup and a new sound on Eclipse, the first Destruction Unit album since 2006. This will be co-released by FDH records and Perfectly Round Records. Much more Psych and Prog driven then the older records. First pressing in the pressing plant now and is due out in Sept. First press limited to 500 copies.

Mickey - 12"EP
As long as there's still hips to shake and asses to move, Mickey will be there to rub it in deep and smother your world with their ineffable concoction of punk brilliance. The most promising new Chicago pop band since the Smith Westerns, these five individual odd fellows have unearthed the primal lunacy and indescribable glam irresistibility that has turned anyone who's seen them into blathering idiots, ready to swallow every stray flung drop of slimy sweat dripping from their guitar necks. After last year's impeccable debut 7" on HoZac and their devastating trip through the wilderness of South by Southwest's seedy underbelly, they turned enough heads and converted so many people, that I finally felt like it wasn't just us that was crazy for their inebriated, yet exasperatingly unique undulating glitter-pop formula.

Just like when GG Allin covered The Ohio Express' "Up Against The Wall" during his early pop fascination period, it's the truly unorthodox filtration of influences that generates unbelievable results like these, and Mickey does it all with the trashy finesse of a sanitation worker at an art gallery. Spring Updates

Well as normal time for another update. Heres what we have going on.

Doctor Scientist The Debut LP from this band came out a few weeks ago. This one is a co-release with P.trash records and only 300 copies were pressed. P.Trash will be getting their copies within the next month or so, but we have our copies here and ready to go. About half our copies have sold so far.

Black Bug This bands first LP came out in early 2010. We sold our copies real quick and this is kind of sold out for the moment. I actually still have a box of 50 LP'S sitting here but Im out of covers. I will be getting a reorder of covers sometime in the next month or so. Once I get the covers I will be putting this one back up for sale. If all goes as planned we will then be pressing a couple hundered more lp's on color wax as a second pressing. If your interested in getting a copy of the first press copies I have send me a e-mail (erictheill@yahoo.com) and I will let you preorder one of the last 50 first pressings. However understand that the wait for this will likely be 4-6 weeks.

Gape Attack The Burn this City 7" co-released with Skrot Up is now back in press. Only 100 of them thi press on clear wax.

Mickey After a 7" on Hozac this bands first 12" EP is in pressing now. Its really a amazing 6 song 12" EP. Since I feel so strongly about the greatness of this band and record we went above and beyond the norm on this one. The LP cover is gonna be a really great looking die cut cover. This one is sure to move quick and we are only doing 500 as a first press so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this ones release. It should be out in a month or so.

Strange Attactor One man project from Jeff from Statues. IM very excited to have the chance to do this bands first North American release (currently have a 12" on red lounge and a split 10" on P.Trash).The single coming out features 3 new tracks and a cover of a Nips song. For sure a great record. This one is also coming in a month or so.

Women One of if not Philly's best punk band is back on FDH with their first full length to follow up their debut single we did about a year and a half ago. Great group of songs this time a bit more melodic then their first single but still packing a punch. This one is a co-release with Resurrection records in Cali.

OVERSTOCK CLEARANCE Im lowering the price of a bunch of older releases to make some room in the FDH HQ (my bedroom) for new releases. Check out new lower pricing on a bunch of our older releases. I will only keep this pricing per item at these rates until my stock it low (under 25 copies remaining) then they go back up to the normal pricing. MISC STUFF
So far I am on track of keeping up with my goal of doing 12 vinyl release in 2010. We have a few more records in the works right now that Im very excited about. Im not gonna give away the details quite yet but just take my word that we have more great stuff in the works to follow up this next round of wonderful records.

I have alot of distro work to do. Tons of records that I have gotten in and just not had time to add to the distro. So make sure you check back from time to time on the distro as I have so much stuff to add that its not even funny. One of these days I will catch up.

Also we got in a small stack of FDH tote bags a month or so ago. We are selling them for 6 bucks or giving them away with any order of 100$ or more.

Late Winter Update

Well its been a few months since the last update so I figured it was about time.

1. Black Bug's debut full length came out in late Jan. We did 500 lp's down to about 100 left or so. This record is 15 tracks including 12 unreleased ones and a few from their debut CDR.

2. Gape Attack! released their debut 7" on FDH and Skrot up earlier this year also. Only did 300 as the first pressing. Got a handful left of the first pressing. Repress is in the works now.

3. Doctor Scientist's first full length "Prehistoric Times" came out on CD just this week. The LP is due out in April. This one is co-released with P.Trash here is a write up about the record.
"Post-apocalyptic screams, blips, and guitars thrash their way into a burnt-out landscape of digital future-past. Where dance beats and laser guns are one and the same, and where both aid in battling the warlords, robocops, and dinosaurs roaming the refuse of our cities and towns. Such is the weird world that the Philadelphia-based band, Doctor Scientist, has offered its loyal listeners since 2007's this changes everything. Now, with 2010's Prehistoric Times, that world is made both more prehistoric, more apocalyptic, and somehow both more brutal and more danceable. The band's fourth member, the robot, has taken a holiday to 808ville and has come back from vacation with the some of the most beastly beats and drum loops available to human ears. Adding bass guitar unto the barrage of these beats, guitar shreds, and curdled android howls gives Prehistoric Times a fuller, more enveloping sound. Doctor Scientist’s odd electronic world now seems that much closer, as these songs throw listener's right into the thick of a digital battlefield. The two singers shriek over and along with each other, and allow for a dynamic call to arms made triumphantly complete with hardcore style breakdowns, marching barks of command, and even a few moments of metal edge. Think Kraftwerk in the mosh pit, or West Coast synthpunk with a violent, unhealthy addiction to Gorilla Biscuits from the year 3030. This new album, due out in April on FDH and P. Trash Records, is a must have for those who want to make ready for the maniacal end of the new world - or the fuming, dancing, brutal beginning of an old one."

4. Tokyo Electron AZ 238 LP came out a few months back. That one was a co-release with Certified PR. We did 500 of them and they are real close to gone. Maybe 2 or 3 copies left. It may get repressed down the road that a maybe. I would recommend grabbing one of the last few if you want to ensure you get one.

5. Got a few records about to go into pressing this month. The first full length from Women who did their first 7" on FDH about a year and a half ago. A single from Strange Attractor 7" they released a 12" on Red lounge recently and have a split 10" coming out on P.Trash any day now. A few weeks ago we released our latest slab of wax. It was the second record from Tokyo Electron entitled AZ 238. This one was a co-release with Certified PR records. We only pressed 5o00 of these and we are down to well under 100 left (and I believe certified PR is out or very close to out of them).

As for the future we have some great stuff coming in 2010. In pressing now We have the first full length record from Black Bug. This one is 15 tracks of lo-fi synth trash. First pressing of this LP will be limited to 500 copies.

Also in pressing along with that one is the first 7" from Gape Attack!. This one will be a co-release with Scrot Up. This follow up to the tape on Scrot Up will be limited to 300 copies and wont last long.

MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL reviews - Earthmen and Strangers / Mac Blackout / Poppets

Got the new issue of MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL today. I was really happy with all 3 reviews they put in for the last batch of lp's we put out.

Mac Blackout - The Western Blue LP - The second solo release fr AC BLACKOUT is a less angry, more listener-friendly journey into the music of the FUNCTIONAL BLACKOUTS / DAILY VOID songwriter. There are some BLANKDOGGIN' / REATARD sounds going on in these snippets of brainstorming, but noone came mistake BLACKOUT's brand of on-the-verge crazy. The style ranges poppy to strangely upbeat to weird, noisy, purposefully out-of-tune and back again, but as we've become accustomed to in other projects, the vocals are a reverbed, sinister juxtaposition to any happy here. At times the demented takes you for a loop, but strangely it's extremely accessible. (AL)

Earthmen and Strangers - self titled LP - I love when bands bridge the gap between punk and indie without losing or getting lost in any of the above genre's charm. These Arizona boys come off as a lost treasure on flying nun records whilst taking in some of its neighbor's (RADIO BIRDMAN and the SCIENTISTS) hook-driven pull. I'd almost put my imaginary house on it these boys rock the CLEAN and the VERLAINES every second day whilst blasting the WIPERS in between. Not a single duffer; every track becoming an instant new fad, sounding old in the warmest sort of way, a beautiful tonic to the worst Monday bluesI've ever had. Now I'm off to spread the word: We have found this year's best record. (SD)

Poppets - UTMARKEN 12" - Eight tracks of squeaky, lo-fi new wave-inspired punk rock. It's brief, it's catchy, it's got the hooks, the charm, and the dancefloor-filler appeal. DIGITAL LEATHER without the digital, hints of BOBBY UBANGI with a heavy helping of the nerds-without-diplomas polish of NODZZZ (SD)

Its been a while since the last update but we have been staying busy working on bringing you more vinyl.

1. Doctor Scientist has been nominated for Philly's band of the month. Please take a minute and show some support for FDH by visiting www.thedelimagazine.com/philadelphia and voting for Doctor Scientist. Also in other Doc Sci news they have started recording their first full length. Its gonna be out sometime in early 2010. Vinyl and CD are gonna be on FDH (and possibly Neat neat neat records). Tape and 8TRACK on Scotch tapes. More info on that one soon.

2. Armedalite Rifles double LP and CD " Shambolic Indeed" is currently in press. The cd will be out in late sept and LP out in early Nov. This double LP is co-released by Wrinky dink records. Its gonna be limited to 200 copies (first 100 copies will be mailorder versions with thicker silkscreened and numbered covers.

3. Gate Attack is gonna be joing the FDH family with their first 7". This one is gonna be co-released with Skrot up records. Due out sometime in Nov.

4. Tokyo Electron will finally be getting their second LP "AZ 238" out. This one is slated to be out right around the end of the year. This 10 track killer is gonna be co-released with Certified PR records. The first pressing will be limited to 500 and Im sure their will end up being some sort of mailorder version available for the first 100 or so copies.

5. Black Bug will be releasing their debut full length LP on FDH late this year. Its got a bunch of new songs and a few from their CDR that came out on FDH a while back. It will be limited to 500 copies.

We still got some of the Mac Blackout and Poppets mailorder versions left. Earthmen and Strangers are only available on black vinyl less then 100 copies left.

Distro update- I have decided to start moving away from using e-bay for selling records. The reality is I have to charge customers more money to give e-bay their fees. Manikins 7" & Digital Leather 7" Out now

The newest 7" are now out on FDH. Got about 50 remaining copies of each record (limited to 500 each). Here is some info.

1. Digital Leather - "Power Surge" 7"- 2 songs from Digital Leather.
Power Surge is a brand new unreleased track. The B side is a older tune
"Shattered Reflections". This song has never has a proper DL release. Their was a cover version of this track released on the Terror Visions full length. 100 on green wax 400 on black.

2. The Manikins - "I want My Baby Dead" 7" - In support of the bands upcoming US tour
we are releasing a single of I want my baby dead. This track is taken
from the "Crocodiles" full length. The B side is "Dont Look Back at Me". A unreleased track from the Crocodiles session. 100 on red wax 400 on black.

Manikins / Digital Leather 7" updates & NO MORE FDH PREORDERS

Ok well here we go again. I have had a bunch of problems with the pressing of the new Digital Leather and Manikins 7"s. As everyone probably knows already these records were due out in April for the Manikins US tour. I made the mistake of trying a new pressing plant for these records and now everyone is paying.

So today I finally got the box of records that was due out a month ago. Upon opening the records all of the Digital Leather ones were fine. Then I opened the Manikins singles. The 400 black vinyl copies were fine. However when I opened the box of 100 color copies they all had Digital Leather center stickers on them. So after a day of dealing with this via the pressing plant I am now being told that the corrected versions will be in my hands next week. Obviously Im not to happy with this. Alot of you had paid for these records a long time ago. And now they are getting delayed again.

As a result of this I have made a call to stop taking preorders on upcoming releases. I have already started preorders for the 3 LP'S coming out in July (Mac Blackout / Earthmen and Strangers/ and Poppets). Im not going to take down the preorder for these records. However moving forward I will start record sales when the records are in my hands. As much as I know that I have done nothing wrong and everyone will get their records I feel this reflects poorly on me and the FDH name so this is my attempt to avoid anything like this happening again.

Anyone that ordered just a Digital Leather record they will ship this week. If you ordered Manikins records (or both records together) I gotta wait for the fixed Manikins records to show and then the records will ship. Im sorry for the delay once again. If anyone Would rather get a black vinyl version of the Manikins record just to get them in your hands quicker just write me and I will make this happen.

Once again Im sorry for these delays and as I stated Im doing everything I can to make sure this never happens again...

Poppets / Earthmen and Strangers / Mac Blackout LP's preorder up now & test pressing giveaway

Well its that time again. We got 3 more juicy slabs of wax that are in pressing that we are starting to take preorders on. All 3 are expected out in July.

FDH-096 Poppets - Mini LP - co-released with p.trash records. Poppets have made quite a name for themselves with a handful of singles over the past year or so. Now they are back with their first 12". An 8 song just shy of 14 minutes, blast of lo-fi garage pop greatness. Limited to 1000 copies. First 150 orders from FDH get a limited edtion mailorder version (P.trash will also be offering a mailorder version just as limited with a different cover variation).

FDH-095 Earthmen and Strangers - self titled LP. Ryan Rousseau saw that Tokyo Electron was about to become a much less active band and started a new project. He recorded a handful of demo tracks and started to put together a new band. Well here is the result. 10 tracks recorded with his new band recorded and mixed at Cardiac Studio. This first offical output from the band will be limited to 500 copies (as a first press at least) with the first 100 copies on red wax.

FDH-094 Mac Blackout - The Western Blue LP. Mac Blackout is a busy guy. In down time with his band the Daily Void he has somehow found time to record a shitload of killer songs on his own. Last year his debut solo release came out on Deadbeat records on vinyl followed very quickly with a follow up CD of more material. Well here we have yet another 14 tracks of weirdness that has a sound that cant be mistaken for anyone but Mac. Limited to 500 copies first 100 on Blue (or Western Blue) Vinyl.

Like we did with our last batch of records, FDH will be giving away some test pressing copies of all 3 records (each test limited to 4 copies). We have 1 poppets, 2 Earthmen and Strangers, and 2 Mac Blackout test pressings we are going to give away. All you gotta do to be entered is preorder the records. We will announce the winners of the test press give away right before the records are released.

So it took a bit longer then expected but the new Digital Leather Single and Manikins single are done at the pressing plant. They will be shipped out to me first thing next week. Ok so Its been quite some time since my last update (last year I guess). Got loads of updates on stuff.

1. The Doctor Scientist/ Octagon Control split 7" came out about a month and a half ago. This one was limited to 300 copies for the first pressing. Got about 30 to 40 copies remaining right now. Their will be a repress coming before the Doctor Scientist tour this summer. You can grab one of the first pressing copies from me while I still got them or one of the many other places that have copies out their.

2. Digital Leather - Power Surge 7" & The Manikins - I want my Baby Dead 7" - Both these single will be out within a few weeks. I started using a new pressing plant that is taking a little longer then I'm used to so it made it so the Manikins were not able to get them for tour however the test pressings sound great. Thicker cuts of vinyl then I have been able to give in the past. And Dave over at Lucky Lacquers is my new mastering / Plating guy. Let me tell you he does GREAT work. I'm happier with the work he has done for me over the past few months then anyone else I have worked with. Anyways most of the copies of both records have sold out via preorder. I have about 5 more Manikins singles available and about 25 more Digital leather singles. Both records are limited to 500 copies. We also are giving away 2 test pressings of each record. To enter all you gotta do is preorder a copy of the records. Im gonna try and give away test pressings of every record I do from now on as a thanks to the folks that preorder records. Winners for the test pressings will be posted here and on our myspace page the day the record comes out.

3. Got a few more records in pressing now. The mastering and plating on all 3 is done. Now just waiting for the test presses before I start preorders. Here is whats in store

Poppets - A new 8 SONG 12" EP is in pressing now! This one is gonna be a co-release with P.Trash records from Germany. We are pushing hard to try to get this one out for the Band US tour in July. More info coming soon.

1. Sudden Walks 7" "Haulin Ass" is finally out. All perorders have been shipped. We still got some of the regular version available (maybe around 30 left).

2.Doctor Scientist / Octagon Control - split 7" is now in press. Expected out in March. This one will be limited to 300 copies. 100 of them with silkscreened art that will only be available thru FDH mailorder or from the bands.

3. Earthmen and Strangers have finished recoding the debut full length record. Its still in the process of being mixed. This one will most likely be the next LP out. Due out in May.

4. Digital Leather has recorded another record for us. This 7" is due out in April. One new song called "Power Surge" and a older one called "Shattered Reflections" (if you have the Terror Visions record there is a cover of it on that).

5. Mac Blackout (of Functional Blackouts / DailyVoid) will be joining the FDH family with a new LP. This record is fully recorded and just needs a bit of mixing and some art expect that one around May

6. The Black Bug will be back with a full length sometime this year. Keep your eyes open for a few new singles from the band first (on a few labels)

7. Poppets will be doing a short play LP sometime this year. That one will be a co-release with P.Trash

8.Tokyo Electron will finally be releasing their second LP this year.This one has been all over the place for a while now and has finally found a home with FDH and Certifed PR records!

9. Deep Sleep will be doing their first LP this year. The have a third 7" that will be out on Grave mistake then this record sometime this year.

10.Lunch With Beardo will be doing a split CD with Mangled Bohemians. Get ready to smoke1,000,000 weed and get lost in this record. I pressing now.

11. Next Dimention is putting the finishing touches on a full length CD for this year. More news on that soon

12. Strange Attractor 7". Mystery band debut record. Its gonna be rad.

13.4 way split LP - Mac Blackout (Daily Void) / Timmys Organism (HumanEye) / Jaime (Piranhas / Druid Perfume) / Ilth (Daily Void). Still working out the odds and ends of this one but it looks like its gonna happen in late 09.

Some stuff

1. Black Sunday / Destruction Unit - split LP is almost out. They are in the mail on the way to me now. Most of them are gone via preorders (got about 50 left). Everyone that preordered a copy I will be getting them mailed out before mid Nov.

2. Sudden Walks - "Haulin ass gettin paid" 7" is in pressing now. This one is limited to 500 and co-release with P.Trash records. 140 will have silkscreened covers. We will only have 40 of them here at FDH. As always vinyl club members (still got room in thew vinyl club get in touch for info) get first dibs on limited edition items. Preorders should be starting for that one soon and that will be out in Dec.

3. Got 100 more copies of the Le Jonathan Reilly/ X-Mas island split in press now. 40 of them with different art. More info on that soon.

4. Earthmen and Strangers have just finished recording the debut full length. Working on mixing now. Looks like that will be the first release of 2009.

5. The Statues 7" and Black and Whites 7" represses have been delayed till early in 2009. More news on that soon.

6. Since the last post we have added Mac Blackout (Daily Void / Functional Blackouts) to the FDH lineup. We will be doing a LP sometime in mid 2009. For the time being go get his record on Dead Beat records. Its one of the best albums of 2008.

7. We are in the process of opening a e-bay store. Got about 1/2 our distro in it now and will be adding more each day till I get everything up and listed. Trying to focus on growing the distro now. 1. The long awaited Black Sunday / Destruction Unit split LP is now in pressing. The LP will be limited to 500 copies (at least the first pressing). Each copy of the LP will include a CD version. We also will have a cheaply packaged version of the CD available only from the bands or thru FDH mailorder. Presales will start sometime in Oct and the record will be out in November.

2. Next release after that will be the "Sudden Walks" second 7". This one is a co-release with P.Trash records. More news on that soon.

3. Earthmen and Strangers , Ryan "Wong" Rousseau's new band is now in full swing. They are about to head out on the road for a short tour that will lead them to Gonerfest 5. They will be heading into the studio soon to record the debut full length that will be coming out on FDH as soon as possible. Keep your ear to the ground on this one. Based on the demos that the band has recorded Im expecting this record to be a killer.

4. In other Ryan Wong news "Tokyo Electron" will be releasing their 2nd full length in early 2009. This one will be a co-release with Certified PR records.

5. A second pressing of the Statues - crooked fingers 7" and a 3rd pressing of the Black and Whites 7" are slated for release late in the year. Both of these fine records are co-released with P.Trash.

6. We are very happy to add Deep Sleep to the FDH roster. This band has released 2 amazing 7"s on Grave Mistake. Expect a 12" on FDH in 2009.

An update on the next 3 releases.

1. The Kidnappers - "Ransom Notes and Telephone Calls" LP is currently at the pressing plant. This one is a reissue of the bands first LP that came out on Alien Snatch records back in 2003 and sold out real quick. After many years of searching for a copy of the Alien Snatch LPfor my own collection without and any luck I decided that I would contact the band and try to reissue this one. So here we are 500 copies in pressing now. It will be 400 on Black and 100 on Brown Vinyl (contact us about joining the FDH vinyl club if you want to be promised a brown one). Preorders will start sometime in July.

2. Christmas Island / Le Jonathan Reilly - Split 7" - A few months back Almost Ready put Christmas Island on the 5th in their series of "The Worlds Lousy Ideas" comp. This was the bands first official release. Since then they have recorded a few songs for a split with LJR. Also they will be doing their first full length on IN THE RED sometime later this year. Le Jonathan Reilly are a great band from Spain. They have a LP out on Holy Cobra Society and a split LP with Black Sunday on Tic Tac Totally (as well as a few singles). This split 7" will be co-released with SHIT IN CAN records from France. Everything is currently in my hands and will be going out to pressing this week.

3. Black Sunday / Destruction Unit - Split LP - This one is really a quite amazing record. I really feel I should not have to explain what these great bands have done in the past. If you dont know about them go get anything from either band its all reall great stuff. Both acts recorded songs for this LP that are a bit more obscure then their prior work. With some amazing art done by Matt from Tic Tac Totally. This LP will be limited to 500 copies and come with a free CD version on the album. We also will have a low cost cheaply packaged version of the album on CD for sale. This LP will be going into press soon (sometime in July). This one has been in the works for quite some time but will be worth the wait once its out....

FDH vinyl club - Limited to 100

About a year ago we offered an exclusive FDH vinyl club membership. This membership was limited to 100 people. We are glad to say we have a some openings available in our club. This is what you get with a membership.

- most FDH releases have a limited edition version (Limited to 100 copies) you are promised at very least one of your LP'S will be from the limited edition run.(honestly you can expect 2 or more special editions)

- Exclusive club member offers (got a few really Limited items coming soon that will only be available to club members)( A good example is the Black and Whites 7" we did a while back their was a limited version that was offered to club members. I saw a copy of that sell for 40 bucks last week)

The price for the membership is 50 bucks postage paid in the USA (international folks contact for rates). The Kidnappers - "Ransom Notes and Telephone calls" LP (Reissue from Alien Snatch), and the Black Sunday / Destruction Unit - Split LP, are both going off to pressing this week. Also coming this fall will be the debut LP from "Earthmen and Strangers" (Ryan Wong's new band). Also coming soon will be an LP from Nazi Death Camp, and Black Bug as well as a few more tricks that we have up our sleeves.

Updates and Preorders

Ok got alot of stuff going on so here we go.

1. Started preorders today for both the Debut 7" from Women and the Digital Leather - closed my eyes 7". Both are expected at June releases here at FDH.(Pre-orders are currently only on our myspace page they will be on the fdhmusic.com page this week)

Women is a great punk band from here in Philly. I have a hard time saying exactly what they sound like. Maybe a mix of Rip off records punk with some 70's UK punk and some good early hardcore all mixed together. Be your own judge and check out their MP3 on our myspace page.
The Women 7" is currently at the pressing plant and is expected out in June

The Digital Leather closed my eyes 7" is currently available from the band on tour (if they have any copies left). They are in the mail on their way from P.Trash records to me. This record is a reissue of the 7" that was on the now defunct Disordered records. The first pressing was only 250 copies and sold out before the record even came out. The new version comes with all new artwork.

As with all FDH 7"s they are 2 for 10 bucks postage paid in the USA (Contacts me direct to take advantage of that deal).

2. Also in the mail with them( on the way from P. Trash in Germany) are the covers to the Statues 7". The band already sold out of their copies on tour. To anyone that has preordered a Statues 7" from us sorry for the wait. And if you plan on ordering the Digital Leather or Women 7" contact me before making a payment cause I can ship the records together and save you some money.

3. Le Jonathan Reilly and Christmas Island are done recording the music and are now in the process of finishing up the art for their split 7" (Co-released with Shit in Can records from France). More info on that one when it goes into pressing.

4. The great folks over at Tic Tac Totally records are hand drawing some killer artwork for the Black Sunday / Destruction Unit split LP. The music is in hand and once the art is done (within the next month) the record will go off to the pressing plant.

5. The Kidnappers are having some new art put together for the reissue of "Ransom notes and Telephone calls" LP. That one should be out in the Fall.

6. Nazi Death Camp are writing and recording for an upcoming vinyl release on FDH. It will most likely be a LP and should be out sometime this year.

7. Earthmen and Strangers is a band new one man band from no other then Ryan Wong (Tokyo electron, Destruction Unit, Wongs, ect). He is in the process of finishing some song writing and we will be doing an LP thats we are shooting to have out in September for a tour thats in the works.

Back in 2003 Alien snatch records found a true jem with the band The Kidnappers. Their debut LP "Ransom Notes and Telephone calls" is a 12 song nonstop punk/garage masterpiece. After many years of the album not being available on vinyl we are proud to announce that we will be reissuing this LP this year. It will be limited to 500 copies and come with all new artwork. Be sure to keep your eyes open for more news on this one. It would be a shame to miss this amazing record a second time........

Blowtops "Brainshaker" 7"- At the pressing plant now. Will be taking preorders as soon as we get our test pressings back. Limited to 500.

Destruction Unit / Black Sunday split LP/CD - A few finishing touches and this one will be going out for pressing. The LP copies will include a free CD version. We will be selling a Pressed CD version with some sort of low cost packaging to make this one a 5$ (postage paid) CD. LP limited to 525.

Statues - Euro tour 7" - Co Released with P.Trash records. Should be going to pressing any day now. Limited to 600 (500 regular version - 100 tour edition)

The Black and Whites 7" - CO-Released with P.Trash records. We have totally sold out of the first pressing of 500 copies. P. Trash only has a handful of copies left. Repress of 100 copies in the pressing plant now.

Women - Almost done with their recording session for the debut 7" coming out on FDH. More info to come on that one soon.

Black and Whites 7"/ Blowtops 7"

Black and Whites 7" - We finally got our copies of the silkscreened record covers for the Black and Whites 7". The all packaged up and ready to go. If you preordered a copy and still have not gotten it expect to see it real soon. We are sold out however P. Trash records (co-released this one) will have copies available real soon.

Blowtops 7" - The new Blowtops 7" is going off to the pressing plant early next week. We are hoping to have them out in March. This one is gonna be limited to 300 copies on the first pressing. We will begin taking perorders after we get our test pressing in.

Black Sunday / Destruction Unit split LP - Both Black Sunday and Destuction Unit are putting the finishing touches on their stuff for the split LP. More news to come on that ones soon.

Black and Whites 7" / New Sampler

Ok so I got in the Black and Whites 7"s. They look great. Most of them look grey and a handful if green ones. I am still waiting on the silkscreened cover and should have them sometime next week. Im hoping to get the all sent out next week. We are sold out, but P.Trash will have their copies in a few weeks. The Band will also have a stack soon.

We got the new sampler done. Ran out of the old ones half way thru packaging up the Black and whites we have . So some will get the new one some will get the old. Any items sold get a free sampler. Or stop by the Philly Punk rock Flee Market on Dec 16th and grab one at our table. List Changed a bit heres the new track listing.

Good and Bad news

Ok we will start with the bad new. Looks like the Black and Whites 7" ran into a problem at the pressing plant and is not gonna be releases till Mid to Late December. Sorry for the wait to everyone that bought copies already.

Our next official release after the Black and Whites7" looks like it will be the new 7" from The Blowtops. That one will be limited to 300 copies for the first pressing. My guess is that will be out in Early 2008.

Also just finished making a test run of the new CDR sampler. This will be out and given away with all orders sometime in Dec. The track listing is listed below.

Whats coming up

First off we in the process of getting ready to have a new CDR sampler. Look for that in Mid Dec. We will have a table at the "Punk Rock Flee Market" in Philly Dec 16th. Be sure to stop by and grab a free sampler, and see what goodies we have for sale from our label as well all the stuff we carry in our distro.

Got alot of Releases coming coming in the future. The Next one out will be the Black And Whites 7". Hop over to the P.Trash webpage early next month or keep your eyes open in distros. We are sold out of the First press here at FDH. Next in line is probably gonna be the Black Sunday / Destruction Unit split LP. More info on that and our other coming releases soon.

Ok well its time for a massive update. Our old Webmaster has retired from FDH (this is why this page has not been updated since the summer). Over the next few months I will be getting this page up and running with more current info. Here is some of the stuff we have coming up.

1. Digital Leather - Blow Machine LP/CD and Terror Visions - World of shit Pic Disk LP /CD are both available now. Visit our myspace page or e-mail us to order (our catalog on this page should be updated sometime in the next few week)

2. Black and Whites 7" - Three songs from the same session as the other 2 singles this band has out. This one is co-released with P.Trash records from Germany. FDH has sold out of all of our copies. If you have ordered a copy you should get it later this month or early in December. First press is 500 copies on trash color vinyl. 120 with special silk screened cover and 380 regular edition cover.

3.Doctor Scientist, Black Bug, and El Diablos Blonocos all have CDR EPS now available. All three are limited to 100 copies.

4. We now have a distro list at http://fdhdistro.angelfire.com. This list is being updated at least once a week (lots of stuff coming in). In the near future this will be added to this page and will have a shopping cart system.
